Service & payment disclosures
Draft for owner review — not final legal terms. Prepared for Cortexa Technologies, Tennessee, United States, on October 1, 2026. A working customer contact channel and legal review remain outstanding before publication.
30% deposit at project signup
A deposit equal to 30% of the agreed project price is required at signup before work begins. The deposit forms part of the project price; it is not an additional fee. A free enquiry, Clarity Check, or human review request does not create a paid engagement or authorise payment.
| Package | Total | 30% deposit | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Signal | $2,500 | $750 | $1,750 |
| Synapse | $5,000 | $1,500 | $3,500 |
| Command | $15,000 | $4,500 | $10,500 |
Scope and remaining payments
A written project agreement must set out deliverables, page counts, integrations, revisions, timing, client responsibilities and the schedule for the remaining 70%. Work outside the agreed scope requires a separately agreed change. Hosting, software subscriptions, AI usage, ongoing support and any applicable taxes must be identified separately before payment.
Cancellation & deposit refunds
Changed your mind? You have 48 hours.
Cancel for any reason within 48 consecutive hours of your successful deposit payment and receive a full refund of that deposit. Weekends and holidays count toward the 48 hours. The time you send your written cancellation request determines whether it is within the window, not the time we read it. No administration, processing, or work-started fees will be deducted from this refund.
If the work does not match your agreed brief
Before you give final written approval, tell us in writing what does not match the goals, features, or design direction in your agreed project brief. We will offer one reasonable revision round at no extra charge, with a written completion date agreed with you. If the revised work still does not meet that brief, or we cannot deliver the agreed revision by that date, you may cancel and request a full deposit refund. We will not require repeated revision rounds before you can use this remedy.
A new feature, changed direction, or preference outside the agreed brief is handled as a scope change rather than a failure to deliver the original brief. We will explain any proposed extra cost before doing additional work. The project brief should record your priorities and any approved design examples so both sides know what was agreed.
Other cancellations and payments
After the 48-hour window, a change-of-mind cancellation is assessed against work actually completed and costs you approved in writing. We will provide an itemised account and refund any unearned portion of your deposit. This does not reduce your full-deposit remedies above. If Cortexa cancels before completing the agreed project for reasons not caused by the client, we will refund the deposit in full and any other payments for undelivered work. Additional milestone payments, delivered work, and usage rights are addressed in the project agreement, subject to applicable law.
How to request a refund
Send a written message through the same Cortexa contact channel used to arrange your project. Include your name, package, payment date, and receipt or transaction reference. Keep a copy showing when you sent the request. Do not send card numbers, passwords, or bank login details. Before you pay, Cortexa must provide a working written contact channel in your project agreement; if you do not have one, do not pay yet.
Refund processing
We will acknowledge a request within two business days. Eligible 48-hour cancellations will be submitted for refund within five business days of receiving the request. Other refunds will be submitted within five business days of confirming eligibility. Refunds are returned through the original payment method wherever possible; your bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears. A full deposit refund means the entire deposit paid, without deducting our payment-processing fees.
This voluntary policy does not limit rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law. It does not require you to give up a lawful payment dispute or complaint. The final project agreement should include this policy and must not quietly remove the refund promises shown here.
Package boundaries
Signal provides website review, optimisation and redesign files for the client to integrate and deploy. Synapse adds the agreed website launch, email, chat and calendar connections. Command adds the customer journey and operational systems described in its written scope. Availability and start dates require confirmation.
Examples, estimates and results
Portfolio cards identify completed projects and demonstrations. Demonstrations illustrate possible functionality and do not imply client results. The conversion estimator shows hypothetical outcomes from entered assumptions; it is not a forecast or guarantee. The Clarity Check is a self-assessment, not an automated scan, security audit, or accessibility certification. No revenue, ranking or conversion outcome is guaranteed.
AI and third-party systems
AI outputs may be inaccurate and require appropriate review and human escalation. Specific automation behaviour, permissions and data use must be agreed for each project. External software availability, pricing and terms are controlled by its providers.
Ownership and project agreement
Ownership, licensing, third-party assets, handover, support and acceptance criteria must be addressed in the project agreement. These website disclosures are a summary, not a substitute for the signed agreement.
